The Challenge
One of their products is an adhesive material used as a filler in dental crowns and bridges. This is a low-volume but profitable item for them, and since their usage quantity is limited to 1,500 per year, a custom package solution would have been prohibitively expensive. The company had searched its existing supplier network for solutions but found that they could only use stock packaging and labels. This was not ideal, as it did not provide an image of quality that supported the product, and the process was also labor-intensive and time-consuming.
The Solution
The Stevens Group has extensive experience in packaging development, and we found a solution that allowed an affordably priced custom option. We started by conducting a usage, needs, and cost comparison between the custom-printed, die-cut product box and the labor-intensive stock box method. We then developed a unique, high-quality package that supported the product value while lowering costs.

After launching the new product box, our customer received numerous accolades from clients. Even the employees were excited about the new packaging—especially the warehouse staff who had been attaching the labels! The custom product proved to be more economical, and its presentation and perceived value had increased dramatically.
