On January 21st, the new postal rates went into effect. USPS has updated postage rates for most of the common mailing services including EDDM.
Below is a summary and a chart detailing the new rates for the primary categories that affect our clients. The new rates include a two-cent increase in the price of a First-Class Mail Forever stamp from 66 cents to 68 cents. There will be no change to the single-piece letter and flats additional-ounce price, which remains at 24 cents.
First Class Mail Flats/Large Envelope rates will now cost $1.39 (1 oz.).
Postcard rates are also increasing and will now cost $0.53, for postcards up to 6” x 9”.
Metered Mail rate will now save 4 cents compared to the Post Office price and is now at $0.64.
